GO Green for dyslexia is a global campaign in the first week of October – Dyslexia Awareness Week. It is much more than raising awareness of dyslexia, it is a green light for going forwards and taking action.
Help raise dyslexia awareness this year by wearing something green on Tuesday 1st October 2019 and be part of a global campaign raising money for dyslexia! Many schools and businesses are decorating their classrooms green or holding bake sales with green goodies. You’ll help raise money for dyslexia by donating to the Dyslexia Trust.
The Dyslexia Trust Charity
The Dyslexia Trust is a Bristol based not-for-profit charity established in 1994. They provide life-changing support through specialist learning and assessment services for dyslexic children and families. These children almost always display low levels of confidence and self-esteem, which The Dyslexia Trust help to rebuild.
There are people all over the world who don’t have access to the resources and support they need. Charities like The Dyslexia Trust and campaigns like GO Green For dyslexia, help children with dyslexia get the support they need and deserve.
Visit their website here.
During the month of October you can be as creative as you’d like and join in however you think best; by wearing something green, decorating your classroom or office, hold a bake sale with green treats, have an assembly or presentation about dyslexia, or take part in our turn your tongue green challenge! There will be lots of competitions and giveaways during the week also, so make sure to share your photos to our social media @NessyLearning with the #GoGreenfordyslexia
